Mark Helsel — Founder, Ambassadors Baseball
For more than two decades, Mark Helsel—known nationally as Coach Mark—has been a driving force in the world of elite travel baseball. His leadership has helped shape top-tier programs such as NorCal East Baseball, Mid-Atlantic Canes Baseball, and Chandler Baseball, where he refined systems designed to prepare players for success at the next level.
In 2015, Mark founded US Elite Baseball, transforming it into one of the nation’s most successful and respected player-development programs. Under his leadership, nearly 1,000 athletes have advanced to college or professional baseball.
Today, as the Founder of Ambassadors Baseball, Mark continues his mission to build the complete travel baseball program—one that unites faith, family, and excellence. Rooted in Judeo-Christian values, Ambassadors Baseball stands apart for its commitment to developing elite athletes who are also men of integrity, leadership, and purpose. “Many programs have great elements,” he says. “But I have yet seen one that has truly put it all together. Ambassadors Baseball will set a new standard.”
Beyond the field, Mark is the Founder of The Ambassadors Group, a professional consulting company serving young athletes, and The Ultimate Combine, a premier athletic evaluation and national competition event created to elevate the standards of player development and exposure. He is also the author of The Ten Commandments of Youth Sports, a trusted parent’s guide to raising young athletes the right way.
Married for over 30 years to his wife, Dotty, and the proud father of three children, including two sons who played Division I baseball, Mark’s life reflects the same balance of family, faith, and leadership he teaches in his programs.
